KG Mobility announced on the 4th that it has agreed to mutually cooperate with Pony AI Mobility (PONY.AI Mobility) and PonyLink (formerly GemVaxLink) in the field of autonomous driving technology.
The MOU signing ceremony held at KG Tower on the 3rd was attended by KGM Chairman Kwak Jae-sun, CEO Hwang Ki-young, Pony AI Chairman James Peng, PonyLink Chairman Nam Kyung-pil, and other officials.
Through this agreement, KGM will develop autonomous vehicles by integrating its autonomous driving system with Pony AI's technology. It will also collaborate with PonyLink on autonomous vehicle-related businesses such as taxis and buses.

Pony AI is a company that develops autonomous vehicles based on key core technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and mapping systems. It also provides transportation services including robo-taxis and robo-trucks. PonyLink possesses technologies for building integrated control centers, mobile communication core networks, and connected car-based technologies.
Chairman Kwak stated, "Through this MOU, KGM will mutually cooperate in the joint development of controllers for autonomous vehicle platform development, as well as in the development of driver assistance systems and autonomous driving systems."
Meanwhile, last October, KGM signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Autonomous A2Z, the top domestic autonomous driving software company, to collaborate on autonomous driving system development and autonomous vehicle manufacturing.
