US and Japan Bestsellers Land in Korea... Starbucks Launches 25th Anniversary Drinks

US French Vanilla Latte, JP Melon Frappuccino, etc.
Omelet Sandwiches Also Available
Plus 25th Anniversary Edition MD and More Presented

Drinks that were popular globally at Starbucks are now available to enjoy in Korea as well.


Starbucks Korea announced on the 4th that, to celebrate its 25th anniversary, it will newly introduce globally popular Starbucks beverages such as the ‘French Vanilla Latte’ and ‘The Melon of Melon Frappuccino,’ as well as food items like the ‘Cheddar & Egg Sandwich’ starting from the 5th.

First, the ‘French Vanilla Latte,’ a drink originally launched in the U.S., has been reinterpreted for the domestic market. The tall size contains two shots of Blonde Espresso, characterized by a rich coffee flavor combined with deep French vanilla notes. Also introduced is ‘The Melon of Melon Frappuccino,’ last year’s bestseller in Japan. Featuring orange-hued cantaloupe melon chunks, melon base, and melon whipped cream, it offers an experience akin to eating an entire melon.


Additionally, the ‘Jeju Palsak Grapefruit Honey Blended’ is introduced. This beverage is a new version of the ‘Grapefruit Honey Lemon Blended,’ which sold over one million cups during the summer season of 2023. It uses Jeju Palsak, a citrus fruit from Jeju, harmonizing sweet flavors with the bittersweet taste of grapefruit.


Earlier, on June 25th, Starbucks pre-launched the ‘London Fog Tea Latte,’ whose visual evokes the fog of London, timed for the rainy season. This drink is well known in Canada as a favorite on rainy days.


Also introduced is the popular global Starbucks warm morning menu series, the ‘Cheddar & Egg Sandwich.’ This includes two types: the ‘Bacon Cheddar & Omelet Sandwich,’ filled with a thick omelet with a soft texture, and the ‘Double Chicken Breast Cheddar & Egg Sandwich,’ which adds a fragrant touch with green olive sauce on mild chicken breast ham.


Alongside these, cakes and breads are also introduced, such as the ‘Bearista Brownie Cake,’ which combines tangy raspberry jam with dense brownies; the ‘Bearista Mascarpone Donut,’ featuring a Bearista wearing a 25th-anniversary party hat; and the ‘Soft Black Sesame Roll,’ made with domestically sourced black sesame.


Furthermore, to commemorate the 25th anniversary, Starbucks is releasing eight types of MD items including tumblers and dolls featuring the heritage Siren logo, as well as the ‘Hacienda Alsacia’ coffee beans with 25th-anniversary packaging. Some stores will also introduce the ‘25th Anniversary Moka Pot Coffee Bean Set’ and MD items created in collaboration with Bernardo, a premium French tableware brand. The collaboration MD features the specially produced green-colored ‘Equime Collection’ to celebrate Starbucks Korea’s 25th anniversary, released in a limited quantity of 600 units, with ‘Limited Edition 200ex’ marked on the bottom to enhance collectible value.


Meanwhile, this promotion was planned as a ‘FESTIVAL FOR ALL’ to express gratitude to customers who have been with Starbucks over the past 25 years and those who will join in the future. Starting from the 5th, a ‘Tri-Star Dash’ event will offer three extra stars when ordering four promotional drinks via Siren Order over seven days, followed by various events running until the end of next month.
