Eco-friendly Agricultural Products 'Win-Win Cooperation Policy Support Broadcast'
Recorded 1 Billion KRW in Sales Support Last Year
Public Home Shopping announced on the 4th that it will support the market expansion of eco-friendly agricultural products as part of its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management.
Public Home Shopping is conducting an "Win-Win Cooperation Policy Support Broadcast" for eco-friendly agricultural products with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Eco-friendly Agricultural Products Mandatory Fund Management Committee. The Win-Win Cooperation Support Broadcast is a project where Public Home Shopping, the government, and local governments support the market expansion of excellent small and medium-sized enterprise products and agricultural, livestock, and fishery products with an average low sales commission of about 8%.
Last year, 10 products sold through the eco-friendly agricultural products win-win broadcast recorded 26,000 orders, exceeding 1 billion KRW in market support funds. This year, four products introduced, including eco-friendly soil carrots and eco-friendly blueberries, recorded 480 million KRW in market support funds and an average achievement rate of 128%. On the 5th, "Jeju Eco-friendly Chestnut Pumpkin" will be introduced.
Public Home Shopping sees the rising popularity of eco-friendly agricultural and fishery products as stemming from the spread of "value consumption." Value consumption means purchasing products that align with one's values or beliefs. In line with the spread of value consumption, Public Home Shopping plans to continue strengthening the discovery of eco-friendly products and market support. Last year, Public Home Shopping's market support performance for eco-friendly products was 29.5 billion KRW.
Lee Yoon-cheol, head of the Win-Win Cooperation Team at Public Home Shopping, said, "The eco-friendly carrots introduced through this year's eco-friendly agricultural products win-win broadcast have sold out, receiving great responses," and added, "Along with market support, we will strive to ensure that various eco-friendly agricultural products can continuously meet customers through product coaching and other efforts."
