Suffolk University and USA Today surveyed 1,000 registered voters nationwide over three days starting from the 28th of last month, the day after the TV debate, asking, "If the presidential election were held today and there were six choices on the ballot, who would you vote for?"

The results showed that 41% supported former President Trump, which is 3 percentage points higher than President Biden's support rate of 38%. In a similar survey conducted in May, both candidates were tied at 37% support.

However, USA Today analyzed that since the two candidates are still in a close race within the margin of error (±3.1 percentage points), a fierce presidential election competition is expected.

Other candidates included Robert Kennedy Jr. with 8.2% support, followed by Chase Oliver (1.4%, Libertarian Party), Cornell West (1.3%, Independent), and Jill Stein (1.0%, Green Party).

In this survey, 41% of Democratic Party members responded that they would prefer to replace President Biden with another candidate.
