Extended Application Until the End of July... Free Household Help for Pregnant Women, Dual-Income, and Multi-Child Families Living in Gwanak-gu with Median Income Below 150% to Ease the Burden on Parents Raising Children
Kim Mo (42), a resident of Sillim-dong, Gwanak-gu, expressed satisfaction, saying, "As a dual-income family, it was very difficult to take care of the children and do housework after work, but using the Seoul-type Household Service has helped me with housework and allowed me to spend that time caring for my children, which reduces my guilt and is really convenient."
Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Junhee) has extended the application period for users of the 'Seoul-type Household Service,' which assists parents struggling with childcare such as pregnant women, dual-income families, and families with multiple children, until July 31.
The 'Seoul-type Household Service' is a program that helps with housework so that parents can spend more time with their children after work. A housework manager visits the target households and provides a total of 10 free household services (such as dishwashing and cleaning).
A total of 460 households will be recruited this year.
Eligible applicants are households residing in Gwanak-gu that include pregnant women (currently pregnant or within one year after childbirth), dual-income families (both spouses working 20 hours or more per week), and families with multiple children (two or more minor children). However, usage is only possible if the household meets the income criteria of 150% or less of the median income.
Applications can be submitted online through the Seoul-type Household Service website, and the results will be individually notified via text message.
Park Junhee, Mayor of Gwanak-gu, stated, "I hope the Seoul-type Household Service will be a great help to pregnant women, dual-income families, and families with multiple children," and added, "We will continue to promote various projects to support the work-life balance of mothers and fathers."
