Driver in 60s... Pedestrian Injured
A taxi crashed into the emergency room of the National Medical Center in Jung-gu, Seoul, injuring pedestrians.
According to the Jungbu Police Station in Seoul, the accident occurred at around 5:15 p.m. on the 3rd, resulting in one person seriously injured and two others with minor injuries.

The police stated that they are currently investigating Mr. A, a man in his 60s who was driving the taxi at the time of the accident, after taking him in for questioning. Breathalyzer results showed that Mr. A was not under the influence of alcohol.
Mr. A hit pedestrians and four vehicles while driving the taxi. The accident also caused damage to the concrete tile wall of the emergency room.
Mr. Kim (75), who witnessed the accident from the second floor of a nearby building, said, "There was a loud bang inside the ward, and I thought it might be a robbery, but when I looked outside, I saw a woman lying down bleeding," adding, "I am still shocked and my heart is pounding."

It was reported that immediately after the accident, Mr. A claimed that the vehicle had suddenly accelerated on its own.
The police plan to investigate the detailed circumstances of the accident based on CCTV footage and black box recordings.
