Joining Hands with the District Office Registered as ‘2024 Seoul Autonomous District No.1 Good Workplace’ to Practice Sharing
Kim Kyungho, Gwangjin District Mayor, Declares “We Will Lead the Creation of a Donation Culture with More Residents and Organizations Participating”
Following the registration of Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) as a ‘Good Workplace,’ five organizations located in the district have joined, raising expectations for a butterfly effect that will spread positive influence.
The participating institutions are ▲Gwangjin-gu Veterans Hall (Director Ha Sang-ho) ▲Gwangjin Welfare Foundation (Chairman Kim Seok-hoe) ▲MG Saemaeul Geumgo Gwangjin Junggok Branch (Chairman Joo Yoon-sik) ▲MG Saemaeul Geumgo Junggok 1-dong Branch (Chairman Son In-chang) ▲Gwangjin Cultural Center (Director Jeon Yong-han).
As a commemoration of their shared commitment, on the 3rd, during the ‘Hope Summer Chyak! Chyak! Chyak! Sharing Campaign’ period, they held a group agreement ceremony with the Seoul Community Chest of Korea. Employees working at these organizations practice sharing by regularly donating a pledged amount from their monthly salaries.
‘Good Workplace’ is designated by the Community Chest of Korea when employees regularly donate a pledged sponsorship amount from their monthly salaries. In 2022, District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho was selected as Seoul’s first district mayor ‘Sharing Leader,’ and in April of this year, the district office itself became the ‘2024 Seoul Metropolitan City Autonomous District No. 1 Good Workplace.’
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “Thank you for participating in the practice of donation and sharing for the local community. Although this is a small start for a bright future, the butterfly effect will bring about significant and meaningful changes. We will take the lead in fostering a culture of donation so that more residents, organizations, and businesses can join together.”
