Chungnam Provincial Council Completes 12th Term Second Half Organization... "Prioritizing Communication and Empathy"

The Chungnam Provincial Council has completed the organization of the second half of the 12th term.

On the 3rd, the Chungnam Provincial Council held the 3rd plenary session of the 353rd meeting and elected Lee Cheol-su (People Power Party, Dangjin 1) as the Chair of the Council Steering Committee, Park Jeong-sik (People Power Party, Asan 3) as the Chair of the Special Budget and Accounts Committee, and Park Jeong-su (People Power Party, Cheonan 9) as the Chair of the Ethics Special Committee. The Special Budget and Accounts Committee Chair and the Ethics Special Committee Chair positions will be held for one year each by the People Power Party and the Democratic Party of Korea, respectively.

Earlier, from the 1st, the Chungnam Provincial Council held the 353rd extraordinary session and elected the leadership and standing committee chairs for the second half of the 12th term.

Hong Seong-hyun (People Power Party, Cheonan 1) was elected as Chair, with Jeong Gwang-seop (People Power Party, Taean 2) and Oh In-cheol (Democratic Party, Cheonan 7) serving as Vice Chairs.

The standing committee chairs were elected as follows: An Jong-hyeok (People Power Party, Cheonan 3) for the Planning and Economy Committee, Park Gi-young (People Power Party, Gongju 2) for the Administration and Culture Committee, Kim Min-su (Democratic Party, Proportional Representation) for the Welfare and Environment Committee, Lee Yeon-hee (People Power Party, Seosan 3) for the Agriculture, Fisheries and Maritime Committee, Go Gwang-cheol (People Power Party, Gongju 1) for the Construction and Firefighting Committee, and Lee Sang-geun (People Power Party, Hongseong 1) for the Education Committee.

Chair Hong said, "As social changes are occurring rapidly, we will focus on supporting council activities that break away from existing customs and formalities, prioritizing communication and empathy."
