Saeul Headquarters Holds Special Lecture with Invited Expert Instructor for Seosaeng Residents
The Saeul Nuclear Power Headquarters of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power is hosting the "New Ulju! Saeul Academy Leading Change in the Local Community," which is being organized by the Ulsan Research Institute and is enjoying great success.
Saeul Academy, as part of a program to strengthen the capabilities of local residents, began on the 26th of last month. Starting with an introduction to resident support projects implemented by the Saeul Headquarters, the program is held once a week for two hours over six sessions, inviting renowned lecturers in various fields such as nuclear power, asset management, urban planning, and health.
On the second session, held on the 3rd, Professor Jung Beomjin from the Department of Nuclear Engineering at Kyung Hee University was invited to give a lecture titled "Nuclear Power We Need to Know" in the large conference room on the second floor of the Seosaeng Nonghyup in Seosaeng-myeon, Ulju-gun.
About 80 local residents and community leaders attended the lecture, using the lecture and Q&A session as an opportunity to resolve their questions about nuclear power generation and broaden their understanding.
Soh Youseop, Head of the Saeul Nuclear Power Headquarters, said, "We are grateful for the active interest and participation of the community in Saeul Academy," and added, "We hope this project will become the cornerstone for leading change and development in the local community."
The Saeul Headquarters plans to continue promoting various communication activities and high-quality educational programs to build a sustainable local community.
