Gyeonggi-do Agricultural Research and Extension Services held an expert invitation ceremony and a pilot base plaque ceremony for talent attraction with the Liaoning Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China, on the 3rd, and took a commemorative photo afterward.
Gyeonggi Province is expanding agricultural cooperation with Liaoning Province, China.
On the 3rd, the Gyeonggi-do Agricultural Research and Extension Services announced that it held an invitation ceremony for foreign experts and a plaque unveiling ceremony for a pilot base for talent attraction at the Liaoning Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Liaoning Province, China, attended by Deputy Governor Ren Qing of Liaoning Province and Deputy Mayor of Liayang City.
At the invitation and plaque ceremonies, Seong Je-hoon, Director of the Gyeonggi-do Agricultural Research and Extension Services, was appointed as a Special Chief Foreign Expert, and Lee Young-soon, Head of the Crop Research Division, and Ahn Young-nam, Researcher at the Income Resources Research Institute, were invited as Special Foreign Experts in the fields of floriculture and ginseng, respectively.
The two institutions have maintained continuous exchanges for 28 years since signing their first agreement in March 1996. During a visit to Gyeonggi Province last April, the Governor of Gyeonggi Province and the Party Secretary of Liaoning Province attended a signing ceremony at Dodamso for an agricultural science and technology exchange agreement for 2024-2025.
Seong Je-hoon, Director of the Gyeonggi-do Agricultural Research and Extension Services, stated, "Through this meeting, Gyeonggi Province and Liaoning Province have established a closer cooperative relationship," adding, "We expect this to play an important role not only in the development of agricultural science and technology in both regions but also in agricultural cooperation between Korea and China."
