AI Business Group Provides 'AI Specialized Customized Training' for Kumho Tire Employees

Practical Application of AI and Data Analysis... Expected to Enhance Competitiveness and Efficiency

An artificial intelligence (AI) education program that enhances quality and production efficiency through data analysis using Chat GPT in the manufacturing sector of the Gwangju region is receiving great response.

The AI Industry Convergence Project Group announced on the 3rd that it conducted the ‘AI Specialized Customized Education’ program titled ‘Manufacturing Data Analysis Using Chat GPT.’

On the 3rd, employees of Kumho Tire's Gwangju and Gokseong factories are receiving training on "Manufacturing Data Analysis Using ChatGPT," an "AI Specialized Customized Education," at the Korea Standards Association Gwangju Jeonnam Jeju Regional Headquarters training center in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju.

The program was held over two days starting the previous day at the Korea Standards Association Gwangju-Jeonnam-Jeju Regional Headquarters training center in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, targeting employees of Kumho Tire’s Gwangju and Gokseong factories.

This education is expected to contribute to enhancing the competitiveness and efficiency of the manufacturing industry in the Gwangju region through practical application of AI and data analysis.

The training will be conducted twice, in July and November, for employees of Kumho Tire’s Gwangju, Gokseong, and Pyeongtaek factories, and schedules are being coordinated with several other companies as well.

The curriculum includes ▲Understanding AI and smart factories ▲Work efficiency improvement using Chat GPT and Excel ▲Practical data analysis ▲Analysis of tire production weight data ▲Analysis of tire production quality measurement data ▲Analysis of the relationship between tire production weight and quality ▲Data analysis for production process efficiency and quality management.

The curriculum was developed based on the ‘AI Career Map’ and provides customized education in the AI field.

The ‘AI Career Map’ is a systematic education program developed by the AI Industry Convergence Project Group through analysis of domestic and international AI industries. It consists of five job categories?data technology, AI modeling, AI-based services, AI platforms and infrastructure, and AI business development?and twelve job groups including data engineering, data science, and AI technology convergence engineering.

The ‘AI Specialized Customized Education’ is part of the AI-centered industrial convergence complex project promoted by the Ministry of Science and ICT, Gwangju Metropolitan City, the National IT Industry Promotion Agency, and the AI Industry Convergence Project Group. Its goal is to support AI job transitions and expand AI-related jobs through customized education based on individual job competencies.

This education provides opportunities for workers in occupations threatened by AI technological advancements to transition into the AI field and offers skill enhancement opportunities for those who need to integrate AI into their existing work.

This education program is open to anyone wishing to transition to AI-related jobs, whether job seekers or current employees. Applications for the AI Specialized Customized Education are available until November through the AI Specialized Customized Education portal, and detailed inquiries can be made to the AI Specialized Customized Education Operations Office.

Gwak Jaedo, Acting Director of the AI Industry Convergence Project Group, stated, “The manufacturing data analysis education using Chat GPT is composed of content that can be immediately applied in practice, which will greatly help improve quality and efficiency in actual production sites.” He added, “We will continue to actively support industrial innovation using AI technology and do our best to create more jobs and revitalize the local economy through the AI-centered industrial convergence complex project.”
