Gumi City Holds Investment Environment Briefing with Business Leaders from Other Regions

Promoting Investment Policies and Support Measures... Laying the Foundation for Attracting Investment

On the 2nd, the city of Gumi in North Gyeongsang Province held the "2024 Gumi City Investment Environment Briefing" at the Air Force Hotel in Seoul, together with Gumi natives and businesspeople based in the capital region, to promote the city's investment environment and corporate support policies and lay the foundation for attracting investment.

The event was attended by Kim Jangho, Mayor of Gumi, Koo Jagun, Member of the National Assembly, Kang Myunggu, Member of the National Assembly, Kim Kwan Yong, Executive Vice Chairperson of the National Unification Advisory Council, Kim Taehwan, Chairman of the Osang Education Foundation, Hwang Jehyeon, President of the Gumi Hometown Association in Seoul, as well as over 120 Gumi natives and businesspeople living in the capital region.


The event featured a video showcasing the newly changing face of Gumi, explanations of the city's investment environment, various corporate support policies, and municipal administration directions, providing a platform to promote exchange among Gumi natives and businesspeople in the capital region.


Members of the Gumi Hometown Association in Seoul who attended the event expressed their deep affection for their hometown by donating approximately 150 million KRW in scholarship funds and Hometown Love donations for the development of Gumi.


Hwang Jehyeon, President of the Gumi Hometown Association in Seoul, said, "We, as people who have left our hometown, never forget Gumi, and we hope that by gathering our small contributions, we can help Gumi take a new leap forward."


Mayor Kim Jangho said, "We will not settle for the present but will recreate Gumi as a completely renewed city that can achieve sustainable growth through continuous change and innovation," and called for the active support and cooperation of those who have left their hometown.
