Icheon-si Opens Applications for Youth Worker Retention Incentives for SMEs

The city project aims to promote stable local settlement through long-term employment of youth in small and medium enterprises and to alleviate the youth employment difficulties faced by SMEs. Eligible applicants are youths aged 19 to 35 residing in Icheon City. They must have joined a local SME before January of this year and have been employed for more than six months, with an average monthly income over three months of 3.34 million KRW (health insurance premium of 119,657 KRW) or less.

In particular, from the second half of the year, the retention requirement has been relaxed from "regular employment for more than one year" to "working more than 36 hours per week and employed for more than six months," increasing the policy's impact on youth workers and expanding more practical support, the city explained.

The support amount is 3 million KRW per person (1 million KRW in the first phase, 2 million KRW in the second phase), paid in Icheon Sarang local currency. Those interested can apply through the 'Jobaba Apply' app. For more details, contact the Icheon City website or the Icheon City Youth and Children Division Youth Job Team.
