Mental Health Checkups at Sancheong Culture Center
The Sancheong-gun Mental Health Welfare Center announced on the 3rd that it operated the "Mind Relief Bus," a mobile psychological support service, at the Sancheong Cultural Center.
The Mind Relief Bus is a project that provides mental health and psychological services to local residents in need of such services by utilizing a mobile bus within the community.
Sancheong County conducts stress measurements, depression tests, mental health counseling, suicide prevention projects, and promotional activities to improve mental health awareness.
In particular, the initiative aims to actively identify high-risk groups for mental health issues among local residents and promote early intervention and mental health improvement. During this operation, stress measurement, depression screening, mental health counseling, suicide prevention programs, and promotional activities to raise mental health awareness were conducted.
The results of the stress measurement and depression screening showed low levels of stress and depression, and a high level of life satisfaction. This suggests that cultural activities significantly contribute to mental health management.
Accordingly, the Sancheong-gun Mental Health Welfare Center plans to promote various mental health improvement programs that incorporate cultural activities.
An official from the Sancheong-gun Public Health Center said, "We plan to continue operating the Mind Relief Bus, focusing on mental health blind spots in the region. If you need professional help with concerns such as depression or anxiety that are difficult to talk about, please contact the mental health crisis counseling hotline or the Sancheong-gun Mental Health Welfare Center."
