Sangkeun Lee, Goseong County Governor, Conducts On-Site Inspection of Disaster-Prone Areas in Preparation for the Monsoon Season.
The on-site inspection carried out on the 2nd was conducted to establish disaster response measures by carefully checking for any abnormalities in facilities and identifying risk factors during the monsoon season, as the risk of natural disasters is increasing due to sudden weather changes, in order to ensure the safety of the local community.
On this day, Governor Lee visited the underpass road beneath Goseonggyo on National Road No. 14 in the Daepyeong-ri area of Goseong-eup to check the operational status of the road flooding barrier facilities, which were installed in May.
In addition, as interest in and the importance of preventing flooding on low-lying roads increases, he instructed on-site officials to respond thoroughly to emergency situations to ensure that no residents suffer damage during heavy rainfall.
Governor Lee stated, "Thorough facility management is necessary to prevent vehicle and human casualties on the underpass road due to the sudden rise in river levels caused by unexpected heavy rain resulting from weather anomalies," and added, "Please make every effort in disaster response with thorough preparation and prompt action so that the safety of our residents is never neglected."
