Han Dong-hoon Has Separate Schedule in Seoul... Focusing on Party Supporters
The People Power Party leadership election is escalating into a coordinated attack between candidate Han Dong-hoon, who is riding a wave of momentum, and the other candidates trying to shake that momentum.

On the 3rd, former Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Won Hee-ryong dismissed the notion of ‘Eodaehan’ (meaning ‘Han Dong-hoon will be the leader anyway’) during an interview on SBS Radio’s ‘Kim Tae-hyun’s Political Show,’ saying, “Eodaehan never really existed; it is just something created by the media.”
Former Minister Won said, “It is true that former Emergency Response Committee Chairman Han Dong-hoon enjoys national popularity, but our party members will seriously consider how to confront Lee Jae-myung’s massive opposition party, the risks of a precarious internal party split, and how to manage the party-government relationship with the president when electing the party leader.” He added, “While the superficial atmosphere of popularity called Eodaehan and the current poll results can be referenced, they have absolutely no connection to the actual voting results.”
Assemblywoman Na Kyung-won pointed out on her Facebook, “Can candidate Han Dong-hoon honestly speak out in Yongsan? It’s impossible,” and criticized, “He has already fallen into the swamp of the betrayal frame.” Na emphasized, “Even if candidate Han personally criticizes Yongsan with sincerity, the media and political circles will always treat it as conflict, clash, personal ambition, differentiation, or drawing lines,” adding, “That is why he will inevitably have to be cautious.”
Assemblyman Yoon Sang-hyun also criticized on the same day, saying, “Candidate Han Dong-hoon’s conditional agreement or alternative to the ‘Chae Sang-byeong Special Prosecutor Act’ goes against the People Power Party’s official stance and disrupts the anti-opposition front,” and claimed, “It is a diversion tactic to deflect responsibility for the general election defeat.” Yoon added, “It almost makes me wonder if the Democratic Party leader has appeared,” and criticized, “I am worried that the party convention will be used as a stepping stone for a presidential bid and that the party-government relationship will regress.”
Meanwhile, former Chairman Han is the only leadership candidate who did not visit the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region on that day but instead met with party officials in Seoul to win over voters’ hearts.
