A woman traveling on the KTX with her child placed the child on the table and even left a diaper used for the child's waste in the seat net pocket, an absurd story has been reported.
On the 29th of last month, a post titled "Diaper with waste found on KTX" was uploaded on an online community. The author, Mr. A, began by saying, "I usually use the standard class on the KTX, but that day I was very tired and wanted to rest in a wider seat, so I booked a special class."
The KTX special class seats are arranged with two seats together and one seat separate. Mr. A, who reserved the two seats together, said, "A woman holding a child who looked to be just under 12 months old sat next to me," and explained, "The child's mother placed the child on the table attached to the seat to play. It looked dangerous, but the child was playing with toys while half-lying on the table."
He continued, "The toys kept hitting the table making a 'tak-tak' sound, so I gave up reading," but added, "Since the child was whining and could make noise, I just put on earphones and tried to sleep."
Later, the child and mother got off before Mr. A. However, the child's mother left the diaper used for the child's waste in the seat net pocket, which is intended for holding in-flight magazines. Mr. A criticized, "I guess she didn’t want to put the diaper in her luxury bag," and said, "The bag was a luxury brand, but her civic awareness was really at rock bottom."
In the photos Mr. A shared, the diaper used for the child's waste is seen carelessly rolled up and stuffed into the net pocket. This is an unimaginable act in a shared space with others. Mr. A said, "The mothers I know clean up all the trash around them because they don’t want to be criticized," and added, "Even if not to that extent, let’s not behave so thoughtlessly by throwing diapers like this. Many mothers end up being criticized together."
