Boryeong City in Chungnam announced that it held a completion ceremony for the Workers' Welfare Center at the Cheongso Agricultural and Industrial Complex on the 2nd.
Accordingly, the working environment for workers employed at the Cheongso Agricultural and Industrial Complex in Boryeong is expected to improve.
Boryeong City completed the Workers' Welfare Center, a rest area for workers, at the Cheongso Agricultural and Industrial Complex with a total project cost of 2.5 billion KRW.
The Workers' Welfare Center covers an area of 673㎡, with a conference room and multipurpose room on the first floor, and an administrative office and fitness room on the second floor.
The Cheongso Agricultural and Industrial Complex, established in 2011, houses 27 companies and employs about 350 workers. Until now, workers reportedly faced difficulties due to the lack of rest areas within the complex.
The city plans to entrust the operation of the Workers' Welfare Center to the Cheongso Agricultural and Industrial Complex Resident Companies Council (Chairman Nahakgyun).
Mayor Kim Dong-il stated, "The city will support corporate workers to work in an optimal environment so that they can contribute to revitalizing the local economy based on high productivity."
