BBQ has pledged to make this year the inaugural year of global management and held a global strategy meeting to establish a super-gap competitiveness.


Genesis BBQ Group recently announced on the 3rd that it held the '2024 Global Strategy Meeting' at the Chicken University in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province.

2024 BBQ Global Strategy Meeting... "Store Activation Considering Characteristics of Each Country" BBQ held a global strategy meeting to mark the first year of its global management and to establish a super-gap competitiveness.

At this meeting, the achievement of KRW 300 billion in consumer sales (POS sales) at over 700 stores in 57 countries overseas and KRW 110 billion in overseas corporate sales was confirmed, and an evaluation of last year, which saw the greatest global growth, was conducted. In addition, regional business strategies were announced, and time was spent sharing successful know-how by country.


The meeting included presentations on excellent management and marketing cases by country, sharing differentiated menu strategies according to local food cultures, and checking the status of master franchise contracts and operations.


BBQ plans to actively promote global business expansion based on the competitiveness of overseas stores while focusing on revitalizing store operations that consider the cultural characteristics of each country and region. Furthermore, to nurture dining experts who will lead the global franchise industry, education and recruitment plans for outstanding talents in each country were also discussed.


Yoon Hong-geun, Chairman of Genesis BBQ Group, said, "We must remember that we are cultural ambassadors spreading the taste and culture of Korea to the world's 8 billion people," adding, "We celebrate the overseas sales of KRW 300 billion achieved through everyone's efforts, but we must not be complacent and prepare our best to make this year the inaugural year to solidify super-gap competitiveness for global growth."


Meanwhile, BBQ operates over 700 stores in 57 countries worldwide. Based on successful know-how in the United States, it is expanding its activities to North and Latin America. Recently, it has been accelerating its global expansion by entering Oceania, including Fiji, beyond East Asia and Southeast Asia such as Malaysia and the Philippines.
