A rookie trot singer about to appear on a broadcast has been accused of threatening and making sexually harassing remarks toward a former teacher. On the 1st, a post by A, who claimed to be the son of a current high school teacher, was published on an online community. A revealed that his mother is receiving psychiatric treatment after being threatened and sexually harassed by trot singer B, who is preparing to appear on ‘Mr. Trot 3’.
According to A, last winter, B sent messages because he was unhappy with the ‘Detailed Abilities’ and ‘Special Notes’ (abbreviated as 세특, Seteuk) recorded in the school records. At that time, A’s mother replied firmly that revisions were not possible since the correction period had passed, but B’s verbal abuse reportedly began from then on.
Looking at the messages attached by A, B told the teacher, "Teacher, I checked the Seteuk and the content is too brief. Please revise it," "We don’t attend school paying thousands in tuition just to get such Seteuk," and "You receive your salary from our tuition, but if you can’t properly write even one Seteuk, the parents won’t stay silent. If you don’t revise it, I will report to the education office." When there was no reply, B sent another message saying, "Teacher, if you keep ignoring my messages, I will immediately inform your parents and file inquiries with the school office and principal’s office."
A stated, “My mother called B to the school office to guide him regarding the KakaoTalk messages, but suddenly (my mother) said he ‘cursed at her’ and ‘threatened to sue the education office,’ and was tearful. Because of this, my mother had to write a statement.” He added, “B disrupted class by chatting with other students during lessons, causing my mother to lower his attitude score on a performance evaluation, but B threatened to report this to the education office and the supervisor, claiming it was unfair.”
He also added, “During class, B compared my mother and other students to animals and made sexually harassing remarks that are hard to even mention. While my mother was present, he also made derogatory comments about the teaching profession, such as ‘What can you do with a teacher’s salary? Kids these days don’t want to be teachers because they don’t make money.’”
According to A, because of this incident, his mother transferred to another school and was diagnosed with depression, insomnia, and panic disorder, receiving psychiatric treatment.
A explained the reason for posting this on the online community: “I heard that B is preparing to debut as a trot singer and appear on ‘Mr. Trot 3.’” He said, “I don’t think it makes sense for someone who mentally broke a person to become a beloved celebrity. If he wants to live as a public figure, I hope he at least sends an apology message to my mother now.”
