On June 2, monitoring staff at the Yeongcheon City Smart City Integrated Center in North Gyeongsang Province received a letter of appreciation from the Yeongcheon Police Chief for their contribution to saving lives by preventing drunk driving and helping to quickly locate missing persons.

Thanks to the careful monitoring of the staff, drunk drivers were apprehended swiftly and missing persons were found early.
At around 3 a.m. on April 2, the Smart City Integrated Center spotted a vehicle suspected of drunk driving in Geumnodong and immediately reported it to the police, leading to the arrest of the drunk driver.
Additionally, when a staff member observed an intoxicated person getting into the driver's seat, starting the engine, and driving off, they promptly reported it to the police. Responding officers apprehended the drunk driver on the spot, preventing potential secondary damage.
The Yeongcheon City Smart City Integrated Center is dedicated to the safety of Yeongcheon citizens by conducting thorough 24-hour monitoring to prevent drunk driving and ensure the safe return of missing persons and intoxicated individuals.
