Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam Branch Opens Pop-up Store for 'K-Fashion'

'Le Metier' Event Until the 10th of This Month

Shinsegae Department Store announced on the 3rd that it will hold an event for the domestic emerging designer brand ‘le metier’ at ‘New Stage,’ a dedicated pop-up store space on the 5th floor of the Gangnam branch, until the 10th of this month.

Le metier is a women's contemporary brand launched in 2020 by a domestic designer with years of experience at overseas luxury brands. Until now, le metier has expanded its customer base mainly through its own website and online platforms, and this is the first time the brand is showcasing its collection offline.


This pop-up will unveil le metier’s 2024 spring·summer collection themed around the colors and atmosphere of the French seaside in Europe. Over 150 different styles will be presented, and since this is the brand’s first offline appearance, exclusive pop-up products have also been prepared.


Key products include dresses priced in the 200,000 KRW range, cardigans in the 100,000 KRW range, and T-shirts and shorts each in the 90,000 KRW range. During the event, discounts of up to 50% will be offered, and customers who purchase over 500,000 KRW will receive a linen shoulder bag as a gift.


Shinsegae Department Store’s ‘New Stage’ is a space newly introduced when the contemporary specialty hall on the 5th floor of the Gangnam branch was renovated and reopened in August 2022. It is a dedicated pop-up store space of about 15 pyeong (approximately 49.5 square meters), exclusively allocated to domestic emerging designer brands rather than globally recognized brands.


Sun Hyun-woo, head of fashion at Shinsegae Department Store, said, “At Shinsegae Department Store’s Gangnam and Centum City branches, we hold monthly relay events for emerging designer brands,” adding, “In the future, we will continue to support domestic emerging brands by expanding the New Stage pop-up space to more stores.”
