'Metropolitan Area Express Train (GTX) Line C extension, designation of Segyo 3 District….' These are policies that received high evaluations in a survey conducted by Osan City, Gyeonggi Province, targeting citizens at the midpoint of the 8th term of the mayoral administration.
Osan City announced on the 2nd that in a survey on city administration and policy satisfaction conducted for Osan citizens on the 2nd anniversary of the 8th term, 9 out of 10 respondents gave positive evaluations. In the survey, 82.7% of respondents answered that they were 'generally satisfied,' and the response rate for 'very satisfied' was 7.5%. The survey was conducted by the research firm Woori Research from June 3 to June 16 over 14 days, targeting 700 men and women aged 18 or older residing in Osan City, using a one-on-one face-to-face survey method. The sampling error is ±3.7 percentage points at a 95% confidence level.

Satisfaction with citizen-experienced projects was also high. These included ▲Creation of resident leisure facilities (84.6%) ▲Opening of the Western Bypass Road and Osan City Hall underground underpass (82.6%) ▲Promotion of educational projects for nurturing future talents (71.3%) ▲Christmas market implementation (70.2%) ▲Policies for protection and care of infants and children (66.7%).
Policy tasks for the second half of the 8th term were also presented. In the urban environment and transportation sector, the demand for 'improvement of the transportation system and road construction' was highest at 30.8%. In the economy and jobs sector, the need for 'creation of a semiconductor specialized city and job creation' ranked first with 33.2%. In the culture, sports, and tourism sector, 'expansion of living cultural infrastructure (33.2%)' was prominent, while in the welfare, health, and education sector, the demand for 'strengthening customized welfare policies for childcare, children, youth, and the elderly (35.5%)' was high.

Mayor Lee Gwon-jae said, "The results of this survey indicate that citizens want the major policies of the 8th term city administration to be implemented more rapidly and innovatively," adding, "We will continue to enhance citizen satisfaction and conduct trusted administration through ongoing communication and cooperation."
