[Law Firm Now] Taepyungyang Recruits Former Prosecutor General Cho Sang-cheol and Former Chief Judge Go Beom-seok

Law firm Bae, Kim & Lee announced on the 2nd that it has recruited lawyers Cho Sang-cheol (Judicial Research and Training Institute class 23, former Seoul High Prosecutor) and Go Beom-seok (class 29, former chief judge).

Lawyer Cho began his career as a prosecutor at the Seoul District Prosecutors' Office (now Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office) in 1997, and served as the first deputy chief prosecutor of the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office, head of the prosecution division at the Ministry of Justice, spokesperson, director of the Planning and Coordination Office, and later as chief prosecutor of the Daejeon District Prosecutors' Office, Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office, Suwon High Prosecutors' Office, and Seoul High Prosecutors' Office. During his tenure as chief prosecutor of the Seoul High Prosecutors' Office, he served as a member of the Supreme Court Sentencing Commission, contributing to the establishment of sentencing guidelines for criminal cases. Lawyer Cho is expected to handle general criminal cases, corporate compliance, corporate investigations, industrial safety, and serious accidents within Bae, Kim & Lee's criminal group.

Lawyer Go began his judicial career in 2003 as a judge at the Incheon District Court. He subsequently served as a judge at various courts, including the Seoul Central District Court. In 2015, he was promoted to chief judge and was responsible for warrant duties at the Busan District Court. After serving as a professor at the Judicial Research and Training Institute, he concluded his judicial career in 2019. Since then, he has worked as a lawyer handling various civil, criminal, and administrative lawsuits. He secured acquittals in major criminal cases such as large-scale fund fraud and led a successful ruling in a case confirming the invalidity of a delisting decision against the Korea Exchange. Lawyer Go is expected to be in charge of civil and criminal litigation and administrative lawsuits within Bae, Kim & Lee's litigation and arbitration group.
