Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 2nd that it has published the "2024 Foreign Residents Living Information Guide," which contains essential policy information for foreign residents.
The booklet is 100 pages long and includes over 100 pieces of information across 8 categories, such as stay guidance, medical and childcare support, procedures for children's school enrollment, status of foreign-related institutions and organizations, and various living laws that foreign residents must follow.
Gwangsan-gu produced the booklet in a bilingual format reflecting Korean and 9 other languages to help foreign residents easily understand and utilize the content.
The booklet has been distributed to the Gwangsan-gu Office Civil Service Center, Dong Administrative Welfare Centers, Gwangsan-gu Family Center supporting foreign residents, and foreigner support organizations.
In particular, Gwangsan-gu also created multilingual QR code stickers based on the booklet content and attached them to restaurant tables in areas densely populated by foreigners to enhance foreign residents' access to information.
Meanwhile, since publishing the "Living Information Guide for Marriage Immigrants" in 2016, Gwangsan-gu has been producing guidebooklets annually to support the stable settlement of foreign residents.
