"I Will Do My Best to Build a Hopeful Future for Hapcheon Together with Public Officials"
Lee Jaechul (51), former Chief Secretary of Gyeongsangnam-do, was inaugurated as the 36th Deputy Governor of Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do on the 1st.
Deputy Governor Lee Jaechul, in line with simplified protocol, did not hold a separate inauguration ceremony. Instead, he began his first official duties by paying respects at the Memorial Tower and delivering a brief greeting at the July regular meeting.
Deputy Governor Lee, a native of Sancheong, began his public service career in 1991 in Jinhae-gu, Changwon-si. In 2004, he transferred to Gyeongsangnam-do and subsequently served in various roles including Regulatory Reform Officer in the Legal Affairs Office and Disaster Response and Management Officer. In 2020, he was promoted to local director and served as the Communications Officer of Gyeongsangnam-do, earning recognition for his wide-ranging practical experience and expertise.
During the regular meeting, Deputy Governor Lee expressed, "I am honored to be able to serve in Hapcheon-gun," and added, "I will do my utmost to serve as a bridge between Hapcheon-gun and Gyeongsangnam-do, and, together with Governor Kim Yooncheol and public officials, devote myself to building a 'Hopeful Future for Hapcheon.'"
Meanwhile, starting with a visit to the Hapcheon County Council, he visited major local organizations and institutions such as the Hapcheon branch of the Korean Senior Citizens Association, Hapcheon Police Station, Hapcheon Office of Education, and Hapcheon Fire Station to discuss cooperation and support for local issues.
