Selected for the 1st Chungnam-type Rural Live Together Public Contest... Secured 13.5 Billion KRW in Provincial Subsidies
The housing environment for returnees to farming and rural areas, as well as young people in Boryeong, Chungnam, is expected to improve significantly.
Boryeong City announced on the 2nd that it has secured 13.5 billion KRW in provincial funds after being selected for Chungnam Province's '2025 Chungnam-style Rural Live Together Phase 1 Public Contest Project.'
This project is a public rental housing complex development initiative pledged by Chungnam Governor Kim Tae-heum to prevent rural population decline and revitalize rural areas.
The city plans to supply detached houses (60㎡, 80㎡) and individual accessory warehouses (15㎡) for 27 public rental housing units with the option to convert to ownership in Daechang-ri, Ungcheon-eup.
Additionally, to reduce residents' costs, system air conditioners, sinks, and other amenities will be provided, and the buildings will be designed as zero-energy structures using wooden construction and solar power facilities.
The public rental housing will be specially allocated to residents living in old or substandard housing, returnees to farming and rural areas, young people, and pregnant or childbearing households, allowing them to live affordably under public rental terms for 10 years before purchasing.
Mayor Kim Dong-il stated, “Through the Chungnam-style Rural Live Together contest project, we will supply eco-friendly public rental housing to returnees to farming and rural areas, young people, and others, creating a carbon-neutral green energy landmark village.”
