Mastern Asset Management Partners with the 'Korea PR Experts Association' to Host PR Trend Seminar

Masterton Investment Management, a specialist asset management company in alternative investments, announced on the 2nd that it held a ‘PR (Public Relations) Trend Seminar’ in collaboration with the Korea PR Experts Association (KAPR) under the Korea PR Association.

The ‘PR Trend Seminar’ was held at the main conference room of Masterton Investment Management’s headquarters located on Gangnam-daero, Seocho-gu, Seoul. Lim Ki-tae, CSO (Chief Strategy Officer) of the tech startup PR specialist company ‘Team Cookie,’ took the microphone to speak on the topic of startup communication.

CSO Lim Ki-tae, who served as the speaker, began his career in the public relations strategy office at Namyang Dairy Products and has held positions as PR lead at Clean Planet and brand manager at Samyang Group, making him an all-around communication expert. He is also a co-founder of Team Cookie.

Team Cookie is an innovative PR agency with the mission of ‘helping excellent news of innovative companies be properly and well communicated.’ Like the ‘cookie videos’ that contain hidden stories, it aims to systematize the stories of tech startups and help lead to appropriate corporate value evaluation and increased recruitment influence.

Recently, Team Cookie won first place (Winner Prize) in the PR consultancy category at the Asia-Pacific PR Awards, a global PR ceremony hosted by the world-renowned communication media ‘Campaign Asia-Pacific.’

CSO Lim said, “Apple was also a small startup that began in a garage, and without the spirit of innovation and challenge, we might still have to carry phones and laptops separately. Every company goes through a startup phase, and the key to startup growth lies in the story.”

Seminar attendees engaged in a lively discussion on various topics such as corporate innovation and growth strategies and communication strategies while reviewing an article about Navercom, the predecessor of Naver, securing an investment of 10 billion won about 25 years ago.

The PR Trend Seminar, conducted through collaboration between Masterton Investment Management and KAPR, an organization under the Korea PR Association, is scheduled to be held again next month at Masterton Investment Management.

Meanwhile, the Korea PR Association is a corporation established in 1989 with the purpose of contributing to the sound development of the Korean PR industry and PR studies, as well as promoting communication among members including corporate PR personnel, university professors, and PR experts. Professor Lee Yuna of the Department of Media Communication at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, who served as the 20th president of the Korea PR Society, is currently serving as the association’s president.
