Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, attended the '2024 Yeongdeungpo-gu Caregivers' Day' commemorative event held on the afternoon of July 1st at the Culture Hall of Lotte Department Store Yeongdeungpo Branch.
About 200 people, including heads and workers of long-term care institutions and life support workers, participated in this event, which featured various side events such as an award ceremony for outstanding caregivers, a vocal jazz performance, and a special lecture.
Mayor Choi is the only district mayor among Seoul's autonomous districts who holds a caregiver certification. He organized the Caregivers' Day commemorative event to encourage and support the hard work of workers dedicated to elderly care.
Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, said, "I hope this event provides caregivers with a moment of rest and healing," adding, "Thanks to your care, the elderly and their families gain great strength and courage. We will continue to strive to create a better environment where caregivers can work happily."
