According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, due to the influence of a low-pressure system and a stationary front, heavy and intense rain is expected from this day through the next. The Seoul metropolitan area is forecasted to receive 30 to 80 mm of rain, with some areas expecting up to 120 mm. Gangwon Province is expected to receive 20 to 80 mm, Chungcheong Province 30 to 80 mm, Jeolla Province 30 to 80 mm, Gyeongsang Province 10 to 80 mm, and Jeju Island 20 to 60 mm of rain.

The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters instructed to proactively control areas prone to flooding such as riverbanks, low-lying areas, underground roads, and underground parking lots to prevent casualties caused by heavy rain, and to actively provide detour information.

In cases where the ground has weakened due to continuous rain, increasing the risk of landslides and falling rocks, residents near vulnerable areas are to be preemptively evacuated. Additionally, vulnerable groups living in semi-basement houses in flood-prone areas are to be supported to evacuate quickly in cooperation with private helpers.

Lee Sang-min, Head of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (Minister of the Interior and Safety), stated, "Given the high risk of damage due to continuous monsoon rains, related agencies should thoroughly ensure safety management," and urged, "Citizens are also asked to frequently check weather information for their area and refrain from approaching dangerous areas such as landslide-prone zones, riverbanks, and underground spaces."
