Munheon-il, Guro District Mayor, Visits Livelihood Sites and Key Project Areas on First Day of Third Week in Office
Moon Heon-il, the Mayor of Guro District, began the second half of the 8th term of the civilian administration with on-site communication activities by visiting local livelihood sites and major projects on the 1st.
On this day, Mayor Moon first visited the completion site of the landslide prevention construction in Gung-dong to personally ensure the safety of the residents.
At the site, Mayor Moon urged, “Since heavy rain is expected again this summer, please thoroughly check the preemptive measures to prevent any loss of life or property due to landslides.”
He then assessed the progress and issues of the redevelopment project at the Wooshin Villa site, followed by a visit to the soon-to-be-opened Guro District Community Sports Center remodeling completion site, where he checked the preparation status of facilities such as the swimming pool and spent time communicating with residents.
During lunchtime, Mayor Moon held a special event at the district office cafeteria, personally distributing snacks to employees and offering words of encouragement.
Shortly after, he had lunch in a relaxed atmosphere with MZ generation public officials below grade 7, exchanging diverse and candid opinions on recent interests, concerns, difficulties in public service, and generational differences.
In the afternoon, he attended events such as the completion of the recent green remodeling project at Cheonwang Forest Daycare Center, visits to the Guro Public Flower Garden Senior Center, St. Francisco Comprehensive Welfare Center for the Disabled, and birthday celebrations for employees born in July and August, listening attentively to the vivid voices from the field.
Mayor Moon Heon-il of Guro District said, “I thank the residents and public officials who have sown the seeds of change and nurtured them together in Guro District over the past two years,” adding, “I will continue to do my best every moment without losing my original intention to realize ‘Warm Companionship, Changing Guro.’”
