Idea Contest Open Until July 31, Anyone Interested in District Administration Can Participate
Up to 1 Million KRW Prize...Online Submission via District Office Website and In-Person Submission at District and Community Centers...Seeking Diverse and Innovative Ideas to Secure Parking Spaces in the Area
Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) announced that it will hold an idea contest to accelerate the resolution of the chronic parking shortage problem in the urban area, and listen to various opinions from citizens.
The contest theme is ‘Discovering innovative ideas for expanding parking lots in Yeongdeungpo-gu,’ and it seeks various ideas for expanding parking spaces, including ▲proposals for expanding parking lots using idle land ▲ideas to promote parking lot sharing ▲suggestions for the development direction of currently implemented policies.
The contest period is from July 1 to July 31, and anyone interested in district administration can participate regardless of their residential area or other special conditions.
Those who wish to participate can do so through the ‘Yeongdeungpo-gu Office website - Citizen Proposals’ bulletin board or the QR code on the promotional poster, and submissions can also be made by visiting the district office or nearby community service centers.
The submitted innovative ideas will be fairly reviewed by the proposal judging committee, and invention grades such as Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Encouragement prizes will be decided. Winners will be notified individually.
In particular, the district plans to award prize money up to 1 million won depending on the results, and is looking forward to active participation from citizens.
For detailed information about the contest, inquiries can be made through the ‘District Office website - Citizen Proposals - Notices’ bulletin board or the Parking Culture Division, and questions regarding contest judging and awards can be directed to the Planning and Budget Division.
The district is promoting various projects to secure parking spaces. Efforts are being made to efficiently utilize local land by creating parking lots using leftover land and demolishing gates and fences in residential areas to create parking spaces.
Additionally, when private parking lots are opened to nearby residents, facility improvement costs are supported for building owners, and the operation of shared parking lots using the Internet of Things (IoT) has been expanded to provide real-time parking information and immediate reservation and payment services, enhancing parking convenience for residents.
Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo-gu, said, “I hope that creative ideas to solve the parking shortage will be discovered through this contest, and I ask for active participation from those interested. We will continue to prepare various projects to secure parking spaces and do our best to alleviate residents’ parking difficulties.”
