'Healthy Yanggaeng Making' Volunteer Activity

The Saeul Volunteer Group of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Saeul Nuclear Power Headquarters (headed by So Yooseop) participated in a volunteer activity on June 1 at the auditorium of Hyejinwon, a social welfare facility, making traditional Korean sweet jelly (yanggaeng) as part of the lifelong learning program for people with disabilities called "The Era of Ready Meals."

The Saeul Volunteer Group and the elderly residents of Miyeon Village in Eonyang-eup, Ulju-gun, teamed up with the residents of Hyejinwon to make healthy, handmade yanggaeng, spending a meaningful time together. The yanggaeng made that day was provided as snacks for the elderly residents of Miyeon Village.


The lifelong learning school program "The Era of Ready Meals" is designed to support people with disabilities in social welfare facilities in preparing for independent living and, furthermore, employment opportunities through home cooking classes.


The Saeul Nuclear Power Headquarters is carrying out various activities to provide practical assistance to underprivileged neighbors in the region, including supporting cultural experiences and outings for people with severe disabilities in Ulju-gun, as well as providing educational materials to multicultural family support centers.
