Lotte Department Store announced on the 2nd that it will open 'RANDY’S DONUTS' at Time Villas Suwon, becoming the first distributor to do so.

This move was made based on the judgment that the popularity of desserts continues, especially among the 2030 generation. In fact, Lotte Department Store explained that dessert sales in the first half of this year increased by 30% compared to the same period last year, and for the 2030 generation, the growth rate was even higher at 40% during the same period.

RANDY’S DONUTS will open at Time Villas Suwon on the 5th. RANDY’S DONUTS is a handmade donut brand that started in 1952 in Los Angeles, USA, and has gained worldwide love by appearing in famous movies and music videos.

In Korea, RANDY’S DONUTS opened a total of six road shops starting from Jeju Island in August 2019, establishing itself as a so-called "must-visit spot where people line up to eat." In particular, the RANDY’S DONUTS store opening at Time Villas Suwon is the first store in the Gyeonggi area and the first store in a distribution company, making it highly significant.

A Lotte Department Store official said, "Since RANDY’S DONUTS first opened in Jeju Island, we have been striving to bring it into Lotte Department Store," adding, "As a result, we were able to open the first store in Gyeonggi Province and the first store in a distribution company."

The RANDY’S DONUTS store at Time Villas is designed with a bus stop concept that exudes the vintage atmosphere of 1950s America right from the entrance. A large photo zone has been created, and the background image of the bus stop will be changed according to the season to create a new atmosphere each season.

In addition, Lotte Department Store explained that they aimed to give an overall feeling of visiting a 1950s American store by using orange and retro-style art graphic posters.

The store makes and sells more than 50 types of donuts daily. From classic traditional donuts to premium donuts with various toppings, professional bakers start making them from 4 a.m. every day. The signature menu includes 'Glazed Donut,' 'Butter Cream Donut,' and 'Apple Fritter.'

At RANDY’S DONUTS Time Villas Suwon store, a free donut giveaway event will also be held on the opening day. The first 777 customers will receive one glazed donut each for free. Additionally, customers who purchase over 50,000 KRW will receive a beach bag featuring the RANDY’S DONUTS logo as part of the event.
