Hyundai Motor, Domestic and Export Sales Both Decline in June... Down 6% Year-on-Year

Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 1st that it sold 351,516 units globally in June, a 6.3% decrease compared to the previous year.


In June alone, Hyundai sold 59,804 units domestically and 291,712 units overseas. Compared to the same period last year, domestic sales decreased by 14.8%, and overseas sales decreased by 4.4%.

In the domestic market, sedans sold a total of 16,513 units, including 5,703 units of Grandeur, 5,712 units of Sonata, and 4,806 units of Avante.


For RVs, a total of 19,056 units were sold, including 1,273 units of Palisade, 5,000 units of Santa Fe, 4,216 units of Tucson, 2,593 units of Kona, and 3,352 units of Casper. Porter recorded sales of 5,815 units, Staria sold 3,623 units, and medium and large buses and trucks sold 2,518 units.


The premium brand Genesis sold a total of 12,104 units, including 3,690 units of G80, 2,863 units of GV80, and 4,693 units of GV70.


A Hyundai Motor Company official stated, "In the second half of this year, we will launch the Casper EV and expand the lineup of the dedicated electric vehicle brand Ioniq to regain momentum in electric vehicle sales."
