Gwangjin Ttaenggyeoyo contributes to mutual growth of small businesses and consumers with low brokerage fees and discount benefits
Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) is expanding the issuance of the ‘Gwangjin Ttaenggyeoyo Gift Certificate’ to support small business owners and revitalize neighborhood commercial districts.
In 2022, the district collaborated with Shinhan Bank to introduce the public delivery app ‘Gwangjin Ttaenggyeoyo.’ It offers various benefits such as ▲no entry or advertising fees ▲low brokerage commissions ▲support funds for new franchisees ▲a dedicated gift certificate (Gwangjin Ttaenggyeoyo Gift Certificate) with a 15% discount, gaining strong support from both small business owners and consumers. As of June this year, the number of franchise stores reached 24,000, and the number of subscribers exceeded 58,000.
Accordingly, Gwangjin-gu is stepping up efforts to further activate Gwangjin Ttaenggyeoyo. Starting in July, the issuance scale of the ‘Gwangjin Ttaenggyeoyo Gift Certificate,’ which can be used on the Ttaenggyeoyo app, will increase from the existing 300 million KRW to 500 million KRW. This will allow more residents to purchase gift certificates, reducing household burdens while using Gwangjin Ttaenggyeoyo.
The gift certificates can be purchased at a 15% discounted price through the Seoul Pay Plus mobile app on the 1st of every month. Purchases can be made up to 200,000 KRW per month, and the validity period is one year from the date of purchase. Individuals can hold up to 1 million KRW worth of gift certificates.
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “We have increased the issuance scale of the gift certificates starting in July so that more residents can use Gwangjin Ttaenggyeoyo,” adding, “In this era of high inflation, we hope many residents will show interest in and use Gwangjin Ttaenggyeoyo, which enables mutual growth for both small business owners and consumers.”
Meanwhile, Gwangjin-gu has recently been making various efforts to revitalize neighborhood commercial districts, such as recruiting franchise stores in traditional markets and establishing a traditional market category in the Ttaenggyeoyo app.
