This project offers services to the following groups: individuals recognized as needing psychological counseling by mental health welfare centers, university counseling centers, youth counseling and welfare centers, Wee Centers/Wee Classes, and psychiatric medical institutions; individuals who have been identified as having moderate or higher levels of depression in national health checkups; and young people preparing for independence and children with extended protection, among others.

Eligible individuals can receive a total of eight psychological counseling sessions over 120 days. The service costs 70,000 to 80,000 KRW per session, with a co-payment ranging from free to a maximum of 24,000 KRW per session, depending on income level.

Those wishing to apply should prepare the required documents and visit the town or township office corresponding to their registered address. Service providers can be found on the Social Service Electronic Voucher website.

Park Jeongsuk, head of the Changnyeong County Mental Health Welfare Center, said, "Through this project, we expect to lower the barrier to mental health services and to detect and prevent mental illnesses early through timely psychological counseling."

For more information, contact the Health and Welfare Counseling Center, the Mental Health Team at the Changnyeong County Public Health Center's Health Management Division, or the town and township administrative welfare centers.

If you or someone you know is struggling with difficult-to-discuss concerns such as depression, or if a family member or acquaintance is experiencing difficulties, you can seek professional help through the Mental Health Crisis Counseling Hotline or the Changnyeong County Mental Health Welfare Center.
