KGM's June Exports Increase 17% Year-on-Year... Impact of New Car Launches in Asia-Pacific and Latin America

KG Mobility (KGM) announced on the 1st that its exports in June reached 5,256 units, a 17% increase compared to the same month last year. Including domestic sales of 4,102 units and exports of 5,256 units, the total global sales volume in June was 9,358 units.


Exports surpassed 5,000 units for the first time in two months since April (6,088 units), driven by increased sales volumes to Hungary and Spain. This represents a 17.2% increase compared to the same month last year and more than a 20% increase compared to the cumulative sales of the previous year.


In June, KGM intensified its global market penetration by launching new vehicles and strengthening local marketing efforts in the Asia-Pacific and Latin American markets, including New Zealand and Paraguay.

In the New Zealand market, where the Torres EVX and other models were launched in March, KGM participated in the largest agricultural expo in the Southern Hemisphere, showcasing the Torres and Torres EVX to increase consumer engagement. In the Paraguayan market, KGM newly launched the brand along with the Torres model.


Domestic sales showed a recovery trend for two consecutive months since April through the release of various new models, but decreased by 28.8% compared to the same month last year.


In May, KGM launched three taxi models including The New Torres, Torres EVX, and Korando EV, as well as the Torres EVX van. In June, the company also introduced the standard model of the Korando EV, aggressively responding to the market.


A KGM representative stated, "Sales have exceeded 9,000 units, showing a recovery with a 15.1% increase compared to the previous month through the launch of various new models and expansion into global markets. We will further increase sales volume by expanding new product launches in global markets, implementing diverse marketing strategies tailored to the launch of new models such as The New Torres and Korando EV, expanding customer touchpoints, and actively responding to consumer needs."
