It has been confirmed that Seo Min-jeong, the eldest daughter of Seo Kyung-bae, chairman of Amorepacific Group, who took a one-year leave of absence from July last year, has entered an additional leave of absence instead of returning to the company.

According to Amorepacific on the 1st, Seo Min-jeong, in charge of the AP team of Amorepacific Luxury Brand Division, started an additional leave of absence from this day through the additional leave system. The company explained, "We cannot confirm the period and reason for the leave, but it is true that she has entered an additional leave of absence."

Seo is the first priority successor to lead Amorepacific Group. Currently, Seo holds 2.93% of Amorepacific Group shares, following Chairman Seo Kyung-bae (52.96%). She also holds 8.63% of shares in Innisfree, an unlisted company.

Before her leave, Seo received management training at the company. Born in 1991, Seo joined Amorepacific in January 2017, resigned once in June of the same year, and then enrolled at Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) in China to study global business strategy theories.

Afterwards, Seo rejoined the company in 2019 as a manager in the Beauty Sales Strategy Team. At that time, the market expected her to play a leading role in driving the growth of major brands in the Chinese market. However, Seo moved to the Luxury Brand Division AP team in early 2022 and suddenly took a leave of absence after about one and a half years.
