Namwon City in Jeonbuk is accepting nominations for the ‘30th Namwon Citizen’s Award’ until the 31st, to honor those who have elevated the local pride and contributed to the development of the community.
According to the city on the 1st, the ‘Namwon Citizen’s Award’ is given to citizens, expatriates, and both domestic and foreign individuals who have enhanced Namwon’s honor through community development and the promotion of citizen welfare, serving as role models for all citizens.
The award categories include six fields: Culture, Sports, Filial Piety, Volunteerism, Industrial Labor, and Patriotism.
Nominees are accepted through recommendations from heads of related organizations, school principals, leaders of social groups, and heads of city departments and townships.
Winners in each category will be fairly selected through on-site investigations of the nominees and a review by the judging committee.
A city official stated, “We hope many hidden contributors who have dedicated themselves to the region will be nominated, and we ask for the active interest and participation of all citizens.”
