The newly established Hwangto Barefoot Trail at Mipyeong Bonghwasan Forest Bathing Site is 1.4 km long, taking about 30 minutes to complete, and is considered Yeosu’s premier barefoot trail, harmonizing with the forest bathing site where visitors can heal in nature.

Additionally, the trail is divided into a dry Hwangto path covered with fine yellow soil and a moist Hwangto path where visitors can feel the texture of damp earth, allowing various barefoot walking experiences according to users’ preferences.

The barefoot trail is equipped with foot-washing stations and benches as resting areas to enhance convenience for citizens, and it is expected to provide a pleasant forest recreation experience for visitors to Bonghwasan Forest Bathing Site.

The “Hwangto Barefoot Trail” officially opened on the 1st, and as the number of barefoot trail users and forest visitors is expected to increase, pets are prohibited from entering.

A city official said, “We hope families and friends take a break from daily life and find new vitality by walking barefoot on the Hwangto trail. However, since this is a space for all citizens, we ask everyone to use it with consideration for one another.”
