The half-day course, "A Half Day in Gwangyang," connects Yudang Park, Jeollanam-do Museum of Art & Gwangyang Art Warehouse, Seoul National University Southern Practice Forest Dormitory, and Inseori Park.

Yudang Park is a historic garden featuring ancient trees such as Pujonamu and Zelkova trees over 500 years old, along with a quaint pond, creating a serene atmosphere perfect for leisurely strolls and contemplation.

The nearby Jeollanam-do Museum of Art is a place that stimulates cultural sensitivity and imagination through high-quality exhibitions, and it has expanded its exhibition space to include a caf? where visitors can enjoy the lingering impressions of the exhibits, receiving positive responses.

In particular, the exhibition "I Want to Eat Mangoes in the Bathtub" by Belgian artist Linus Van de Velde attracts attention from various generations through experiments and adventures that transcend the boundaries between virtual and reality.

The Gwangyang Art Warehouse, a repurposed abandoned warehouse, is an art space where visitors can view media art and the Lee Kyung-mo archive, offering the freedom and romance that come with its high ceilings.

The Seoul National University Southern Practice Forest Dormitory, which showcases the typical spatial composition style of Japanese houses, served as staff housing within the Keijo Imperial University practice forest during the Japanese colonial period and is now undergoing a transformation into an exhibition and experience space.

The one-day course, spending a full day in Gwangyang, tours Baegunsan Natural Recreation Forest (Healing Forest, Wood Culture Experience Center), delightful gourmet spots, Seoul National University Southern Practice Forest Dormitory, Jeollanam-do Museum of Art & Gwangyang Art Warehouse, Gwangyang Wine Cave & Gwangyang Eco Park, and Gubongsan Observatory.

Baegunsan Natural Recreation Forest is a complex forest cultural space equipped with dense primeval forest, ecological forest, healing forest, wood culture experience center, and accommodation facilities, quenching the thirst for greenery.

The Gwangyang Wine Cave, a repurposed abandoned tunnel, maintains a constant temperature of 17.5℃ and is a summer sanctuary where visitors can enjoy the romantic world of wine, a garden of contemplation, and the fantastic media art world of Light Fantasia.

The Gubongsan Observatory, boasting an open view, is a place to escape the stifling daily life and feel freedom, offering panoramic views of Yeosu, Suncheon, Namhae, and the sparkling nightscape of Gwangyang Bay.

The "Starry Night in Gwangyang" one-night two-day course allows visitors to enjoy nature, culture, and beautiful night views.

The first day’s itinerary includes Yudang Park, Jeollanam-do Museum of Art & Gwangyang Art Warehouse, delightful gourmet spots, Seoul National University Southern Practice Forest Dormitory, Inseori Park, Gwangyang Wine Cave, Gubongsan Observatory, and the Yi Sun-sin Bridge.

The second day leisurely concludes the two-day journey at Wow Ecological Lake Park, Kim Si-sik Site, Baealdo Island Garden & Mangdeok Port (Jeong Byeong-wook House preserving the posthumous works of Yun Dong-ju).

The Yi Sun-sin Bridge, a suspension bridge connecting Gwangyang and Yeosu, is known as the "Harp Made of Steel" for its beautiful curves and serves as a landmark of Gwangyang.

Wow Ecological Lake Park features barefoot trails, natural ecology observation paths, and walking trails, and is an ecological park where water lilies, lotus flowers, and reeds stimulate the senses.

Mangdeok Port, where the Seomjin River meets the sea, and Baealdo Island Garden are emotional spaces where visitors can stroll through the romance evoked by stars and longing in Yun Dong-ju’s poetry, as well as the port, island, and sea.

Kim Seong-su, head of the Tourism Division, said, "The July Gwangyang travel courses are designed to help visitors rest their body and mind in lush nature and enhance their sensitivity through cultural and artistic enjoyment, targeting the peak heat and summer vacation season." He added, "We hope visitors recharge their energy spent in daily life by avoiding the scorching sun and enjoying the shining days and nights in Gwangyang."

Meanwhile, Gwangyang City continues to offer travel courses considering duration and routes, ranging from half-day courses centered on monthly hot places to one-night two-day courses that allow visitors to discover the city’s hidden charms.
