"The Reason I Could Become a District Mayor Was Thanks to the Dedicated Public Officials"
On the morning of the 1st, Lee Seung-ro, Mayor of Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, personally appeared as the daily DJ for the Integrity and Mutual Respect Morning Broadcast within the district office to commemorate the 2nd anniversary of the 8th local government term and to encourage the public officials working hard on site.
Mayor Lee greeted, “The reason I have been able to serve as the on-site mayor of Seongbuk-gu for the past six years, continuing from the 7th to the 8th local government term, is thanks to the Seongbuk-gu public officials who have devoted themselves by listening to the voices of residents and being present in their daily lives.”
He added, “The 8th local government term of Seongbuk-gu is an important period to realize the vision of Future Seongbuk 100 Years with the three core values of ‘Together, Change, Growth.’ Over the remaining two years of this term, let us face challenges with the sharpness of a tiger and execute our duties with the loyalty of an ox.”
The district office conducts a 10-minute live morning broadcast titled ‘Integrity and Mutual Respect, That Beautiful Story’ every Tuesday and Thursday to promote smooth communication within the organization and spread a culture of integrity. Since June 1, 2012, a total of 1,074 broadcasts have been aired.
Seongbuk-gu plans to focus its administrative efforts during the remaining period of the 8th local government term on revitalizing the local economy, actively reflecting the demands of youth in policies, and smoothly progressing urban redevelopment projects to leap forward as a premium residential city.
