The Icheon Ceramic Exhibition and Sales Center was established in 2005 to promote and boost sales of ceramics produced by local ceramic companies in the Icheon area. However, it has not been operating normally for the past two years due to decreased sales revenue caused by COVID-19 and the downturn in the ceramic market. Accordingly, the city and the Icheon Ceramic Business Cooperative decided to improve the interior facilities and began remodeling work in May.
The newly reopened exhibition and sales center operates daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. To commemorate the reopening, the Icheon Ceramic Masters Association is holding a charity bazaar until the 6th. The association plans to donate 50% of the sales proceeds to neighbors in need within the Icheon area.
Kim Kyung-hee, Mayor of Icheon City, said, "I hope the Icheon Ceramic Exhibition and Sales Center will become more active and serve as an important channel for ceramic artists to expand their sales routes."
