Merger of M-Hub and Stick Interactive
Expecting Synergy from Combined Expertise of Both Companies
Daehong Planning, an advertising affiliate of Lotte Group, announced on the 1st that its subsidiaries M-Hub and Stick Interactive have completed their merger and officially launched the new merged corporation 'Spoon (SPOON.D)'.
Regarding the merger between subsidiaries, Daehong Planning explained, "As digital transformation accelerates in the advertising industry, it was necessary to consolidate media expertise and digital advertising capabilities," adding, "This decision aims to maximize marketing synergy across both online and offline channels." The new name 'Spoon (SPOON.D)' signifies the fusion of Offline and Online Network to create new marketing value and to encompass all ideas in the world.
Established in 1999, M-Hub is a media-specialized agency that has measured advertising efficiency across various media. Digital marketing company Stick Interactive has specialized in digital campaigns for major domestic companies, and last year won the grand prize in the social communication category at the Korea Advertising Awards.
Spoon plans to pioneer new businesses by combining the strengths of both companies through this merger. First, it intends to integrate Stick Interactive’s advertising execution know-how with M-Hub’s existing Digital Media Lab (digital ad sales). Additionally, as a participant in the 'Myeongdong Tourism Special Zone' project, it will take part in establishing digital billboards and producing digital outdoor advertisements.
Through the launch of the merged corporation Spoon, the company aims to raise its brand awareness and target a leap into the top 10 in terms of advertising agency handling volume (the amount of advertising given by advertisers). Lee Chang-woo, CEO of Spoon, stated, "We will quickly respond to market trends with marketing solutions that cover both online and offline channels to support our clients’ business growth."
