The Sixty-Second National Heritage Guardian Agreement Institution
Game company Smilegate RPG is contributing to the protection and repatriation of cultural heritage abroad. On the 1st, it will sign a 'National Heritage Keeper' agreement with the Cultural Heritage Administration at Heungbokjeon Hall in Gyeongbokgung Palace, Seoul, to protect overseas cultural heritage. It will sponsor 500 million won for the protection of overseas cultural heritage.
The sponsorship funds will be used for the repatriation of overseas cultural heritage, related education, and volunteer activities. They will also be used to support youth job training related to overseas heritage at international organizations, museums, and art galleries abroad.
For smooth progress, the Overseas Cultural Heritage Foundation will cooperate in the repatriation sector, the Korea National University of Cultural Heritage in the youth training sector, and the Korea National Heritage Keepers Association in the education and volunteer sectors.
The Cultural Heritage Administration has been signing National Heritage Keeper agreements with companies and organizations since 2005 and has been carrying out various activities to protect national heritage. Smilegate RPG is the sixty-second institution to sign such an agreement.
