The Korea Arboretum and Garden Management Authority (hereinafter referred to as KAGMA) announced on the 1st that it received a comprehensive A grade for two consecutive years in the '2023 Other Public Institutions Management Performance Evaluation' hosted by the Korea Forest Service, following 2022.
KAGMA is the only institution among the evaluated organizations to receive an A grade. KAGMA earned high marks for faithfully implementing national tasks such as expanding the proportion of job-based pay and performance-based pay differentiation, achieving a credit rating of A+ through financial and budget efficiency, conducting ecological restoration of damaged forests as the nation's first native plant supply center, and contributing to the prevention of regional extinction by promoting regional win-win projects utilizing native plants.
Ryu Kwang-su, Chairman of KAGMA, stated, “This year as well, KAGMA will listen to voices from the field and strive to produce results that the public can feel.” He added, “We will do our best to become an arboretum and garden platform institution leading the conservation of forest biodiversity and carbon neutrality.”
