CJ Nanum Foundation announced on the 1st that it is recruiting students for the second half of 2024 for the 'CJ Donors Camp Dream Growth Academy,' which helps young people from employment-vulnerable groups achieve independence through vocational education and employment linkage.
The CJ Donors Camp Dream Growth Academy is a social contribution program by CJ Nanum Foundation that provides professional vocational education opportunities for young people from employment-vulnerable groups to achieve practical independence, and links them to employment at CJ affiliates and similar industries. Since the program started in 2017, a total of 580 people have completed the training as of last year, with 499 of them successfully employed, recording an employment rate of about 86%.

The second half students will be enrolled in ▲Cooking course ▲Bakery course ▲Service Manager (Food & Beverage, Health & Beauty) course. Anyone aged 18 to 34 by the 28th of this month can apply regardless of academic background, major, or military service status. Among them, social consideration targets such as those with household income below 120% of the median income, youth preparing for independence, and single-parent families will be given preferential selection.
This year, the number of students will be increased by 50% compared to the previous year, supporting a total of 210 people. From the second half of this year, the upper age limit for applicants has been raised from 29 to 34 years old. Employment destinations at affiliates have also expanded from CJ Freshway, CJ Foodville, and CJ Olive Young to include CJ CheilJedang. Additionally, the academy has been selected for two consecutive years as a 'Vocational High School Recruitment-Linked Job Training Institution' hosted by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and plans to select third-year vocational high school students nationwide and youth within one year of graduation.
The tuition is completely free, and students can receive various benefits including a monthly education stipend of up to 600,000 KRW, special lectures by top experts in each field, mentoring from senior students and executives, and on-site training at CJ affiliates. Furthermore, to support sustainable independence for marginalized youth such as those preparing for independence, practical education such as finance, housing, and labor-related special lectures are provided, along with living support funds including housing costs for students facing difficulties, helping them achieve economic and psychological stability.
In addition, through cooperation with major partners such as Amorepacific Gonggam Foundation and Dong-A Aluminum, detailed support such as emotional support and leadership education will be expanded to help young people from employment-vulnerable groups establish stable independence in society.
A CJ Nanum Foundation official said, "We have expanded the upper age limit and support scale so that more young people from employment-vulnerable groups can find a career path that suits them through professional vocational education and become independent," adding, "We will continue to provide diverse support and seek quality employment opportunities through close cooperation with major partners and external organizations to fully support the independence of youth."
