Inavi Systems Builds 130,000 km ADAS Map for Autonomous Driving... "Largest Scale in Korea"

Nationwide Expressways and Arterial Roads Fully Detailed
Based on Data Collected by Thinkware's 'AI Black Box'

Inavi Systems, a mobility platform development subsidiary of Thinkware, announced on the 1st that it has built an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) map covering 130,000 km.

Inavi Systems' ADAS map is a digital map applied to autonomous driving Level 2+ and Level 3 systems, helping autonomous vehicles drive safely on roads. It provides detailed information such as road slope, curvature, altitude, and speed limits that vehicle sensors cannot detect, enhancing the driving capabilities of autonomous vehicles. In this regard, Inavi Systems has constructed the entire nationwide and urban expressways, exclusive roads for automobiles, and arterial roads with a precision more than 10 times higher than existing maps. Additionally, it has completed mapping all 130,000 km of nationwide two-lane roads or wider in both directions.

Inavi Systems' ADAS map collects and updates real-time changing information through Thinkware, its group company’s artificial intelligence (AI) black box, to implement map data. This is to maintain the freshness and accuracy of critical data in autonomous driving environments. Even for speed limits, which have high information volatility, an automatic update technology is applied based on AI black box collected information to support a safe driving environment.

Inavi Systems explained that following the first phase of building expressways at the end of last year, it has completed the second phase including arterial roads, securing the largest-scale ADAS map in Korea.
