On the 29th of last month, a story from Mr. A, who runs a chicken restaurant, was shared on the self-employed community 'Apeunikka Sajangida' (Because It Hurts, I'm a Boss). He began by saying, "I experienced something truly absurd." Mr. A explained, "I tore the chicken apart, added seasoning, and carefully mixed it by hand before delivering it to the customer." He continued, "Then the customer called and said a toothpick was found, so I received a photo." He added, "But strangely, it was a wooden toothpick that we do not use at our place." He emphasized, "We only use starch toothpicks and do not have wooden toothpicks at all."

He went on to say, "The customer claimed the toothpick came out from inside the food, not on top of it, but there was no seasoning on the toothpick at all," raising doubts. He said, "I know they might be trying to get an extra piece, but it’s unfair, so I remade and sent the food again." He added, "Usually, when we make a mistake and remake the food, we tell customers to just keep the first order, but this time they took it back." He reiterated that the recalled toothpick was very clean and said, "Just in case, I reviewed the CCTV footage of the preparation process, and it only showed hands carefully making the food," expressing his frustration.

Netizens who saw this sympathized with Mr. A’s anger, commenting, "There are more delivery scammers these days," "We should cut ties with customers who say they only use starch toothpicks," "It’s obvious they lied thinking they wouldn’t refund and collect the original food," "Isn’t the toothpick too new? Not a single sesame seed stuck to it," and "I had the same experience. I refunded because I didn’t want to argue, but I don’t understand their mindset."
